Choose a replacement around the home’s needs
Before discussing a boiler replacement, describe how many bathrooms are used at the same time, where equipment is installed and what is unsatisfactory about the current arrangement. A larger appliance is not automatically a better answer to slow hot water or an unevenly heated room.
Space, supply conditions, controls, the flue route and any associated cylinder can affect the recommendation. A replacement also needs a clear installation scope: what stays, what changes and what work must be authorised by the building owner. We discuss the survey and estimate rather than offer an unsupported fixed installation price from a postcode. Gas installation work requires an appropriately competent Gas Safe registered engineer.
Gas work. Any work on gas appliances or pipework must be carried out by an appropriately qualified, Gas Safe registered engineer. Tell us what the job involves and we will discuss how it will be handled before booking.
Chelsea covers different residential settings, so a town-house enquiry and a flat above another home need different access information. Tell us which parts of the water, heating or drainage installation are private to your property. A street address is not evidence that equipment is old or that an upgrade is needed.
For a home near King’s Road or Cheyne Walk, include the full address and any separate side or basement entrance. The council maps help check conservation-area boundaries; they do not replace address-specific permission for an external alteration.

Good to know.
Should the replacement boiler have the same output as the old one?
Not necessarily. The home’s requirements and the existing system should be assessed. Selecting an appliance solely by matching the old label can overlook changes in use or other installation constraints.
What does heating cost in Chelsea?
£120 + VAT per hour (£144 inc VAT), with a one hour minimum. Before any extra work we give an estimated duration and expected labour cost for you to agree.
