What a service looks at
Exactly what is done depends on the boiler. Typically a service covers:
Visual and safety checks
Checking the boiler, its flue and its surroundings for signs of wear, leaks or problems.
Inside the boiler
Inspecting and cleaning key components where the manufacturer advises, and checking seals.
Operation and pressure
Running the boiler, checking pressure and controls, and confirming it fires and heats correctly.

Good to know.
How often should a boiler be serviced?
Most manufacturers recommend once a year. Check your boiler manual or warranty terms, which may require it.
What should I have ready?
Clear access to the boiler and flue, the make and model, and any previous service record if you have one.
What does a service cost?
Heating work is charged at £120 + VAT per hour (£144 per hour including VAT). Ask us to confirm anything else that may apply when you get in touch.
What if the service finds a fault?
We explain what we have found and agree any repair, and its cost, with you before carrying it out.
